I wonder if your browser's cache is overloaded, Dennis. It happens to me sometimes when I've been browsing many images that the wrong image gets loaded - and then things really get messed up!
Noctuid, yes, but this one looks like a Maple Looper to me (Parallelia bistriaris).

I checked your link and did a Google image search for the name Dennis offered. It's clearly Parallelia bistriaris. btw, thanks for that browser quirk idea. You never know when *I* might have to employ it.
