Pearl Crescent? - Chlosyne nycteis

Pearl Crescent? - Chlosyne nycteis
Spring Valley, Ohio, USA
June 14, 2009
I think this is a Pearl Crescent but it has more white in some areas and more black in others than I have seen in all other posted images. It would appear that some predator ignored the warning coloration and took a bite out of one wing.
