Tony Gallucci arranged a Hill Country nature tour for me to find some bird and odonate species I had not yet seen. Tripp Davenport got us onto his family's ranch to see this critter on the creek that ran through. When the light was at the right angle, the red gleamed so brightly that you could see it from meters away, when the rest of the bug was invisible.
