Do not know the exact date of this one - an old slide that I scanned several years ago, not a digital photo - am approximating. First county and LRGV record for this species, more common further north. The same site - a cienega, freshwater spring-fed wetland, on the shore of the salt lake - also provided the first county and LRGV record of Common Whitetail (Plathemis lydia) approximately one year later.
