Robber Fly - Atomosia
Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
August 19, 2005
Size: ~9 mm
This little robber was shot in our garden perched on a hastas plant. It looks similar to some of the other shots in the guide.

Atomosia
Possibly A. rufipes. There are 9 eastern species. This is not puella the most common species.

Thanks Herschel!
As always:)
