Are they that variable? This
Are they that variable? This individual has such different markings than the other one from the same day, ID'd as the same species.

 
They are very variable.
They can be red with 16~ black spots (most common), red with a few spots (like this one) black with 2 red spots and dark with four red spots. There are also other variations, see here:
