Moth - Clogmia albipunctata

Moth - Clogmia albipunctata
Foresthill, Placer County, California, USA
June 6, 2009
Size: about 3/8 inch
Couldn't figure which silhouette best fit, and browsing different types didn't help. Please point me towards the proper guide pages.

Thanks,
It looked like a fly when I first saw it, but from the enlarged image I figured it was a moth. Couldn't match the silhouette, though. Now I know why. :) Thanks again.

Filter Fly
These flies are called "moth flies" because of the resemblence to moths. The particular species (recognized by the white spots) is called a Filter Fly, probably due to its habitat in drains and the like.
