Identification
The small size and the coloration will make this species easily recognizable from any of our Conotrachelus. (Schaeffer 1904)

Food
Collected by beating on brushholly - Xylosma flexuosa (Flacourtiaceae) (2)
Host is limited to Cameron County (southmost TX) in the US per Range
Remarks
Type Locality: Brownsville, Texas (Esperanza Ranch, San Tomas).
The species is not a common one, only a small number were taken during the entire time of my stay. (Schaeffer 1904)
Texas considers this to be a "Species of Greatest Conservation Need" (SGCN) (4)
