Can anyone identify this caterpillar?

The photo was taken June 14, 2009 in a regional park in Santa Clara County CA. It is perched on a soap plant, Chlorogalum pomeridianum.

Looks to be
something in the Lycaenidae, but unfortunately we don't know those well. We hope someone else can fine tune that ID for you.

The Scott book lists only Callophyrs augustinus as a hostplant of Soap Plant so that's probably a good guess.
