Trimerotropis - Trimerotropis pallidipennis - female

Trimerotropis - Trimerotropis pallidipennis - Female
Hwy 93 north of Twin Falls, Jerome County, Idaho, USA
June 17, 2009
Size: 50mm

After doing a point by point
comparison of structure, this one does come out as being T. pallidipennis.

Moved from Trimerotropis.

The early date
would strongly suggest Trimerotropis pallidipennis, and this is almost surely what it is. However, this individual does have something of the "look" of Trimerotropis latifasciata; perhaps a bit on the slender side for that one though. Without seeing wings and/or knowing hind tibia color, it's difficult to say for certain. It is a female.

Oedipodinae - Band-winged Grasshopper
I suspect you'll find it somewhere in this subfamily Oedipodinae - Band-winged Grasshopper

Yes.
Specifically, genus Trimerotropis. At least two common species with banded tegmena like this. Need to know color of hind tibia, ideally.
