Cicada ID? - Cacama moorei

Cicada ID? - Cacama moorei
Tucson (Desert Museum), Pima County, Arizona, USA
June 7, 2009
I hope the white markings are distinctive.

Moved
Moved from "Common Cactus Dodger".

Based on review of specimens, per. comm., and current distributions of the Cacama species in the sw. USA, specimens and images originating in Pima Co., Tuscon, & Desert Museum area likely belong to "moorei" - as moorei & valvata do not appear to be widely sympatric beyond the interface zone, if at all.

Cacama moorei (??)
For several of these "Sonoran specimens", I suspect they could be C. moorei.

Although this image is dark, the location and some of the traits are suspect.

REFER to the following:
Cacama moorei sp. n. Sanborn & M. Heath
sw. USA (ARIZONA) & MEXICO
