Stink Bug - Menecles insertus

Stink Bug - Menecles insertus
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
August 19, 2005
Size: 12mm

Menecles insertus.
What a fabulous shot of the stink bug Menecles insertus! The very large pronotum (top of the thorax) with the "sunken" head is very distinctive. A common eastern species, often coming to lights at night.
