Nebritus Stiletto Fly in California (Specimen 6) - Nebritus pellucidus

Nebritus Stiletto Fly in California (Specimen 6) - Nebritus pellucidus
Webb Canyon , ~2000 ft. altitude, Los Angeles County, California, USA
May 27, 2009
Size: ~8 mm (w/out antennae)
I somehow managed to overlook this specimen when I submitted the others in this series. As you can tell, this is one of the unfortunate victims which did not revive after its time in the pool. On the plus side, I was able to take some fairly good images which I hope will aid in a species ID and possibly in determining the gender.

Please see detailed comments on initial post.
