Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle - Harmonia axyridis
Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA
June 20, 2009
Size: 1 cm.

Harmonia axyridis
Multicolored Asian lady beetle, Harmonia axyridis. A non-native species that competes with our native lady beetles, but at least in spring and summer it's a useful aphid-eater. (In fall/winter they become particularly pesty by eating fruit and moving into houses.)
