Thanks for the comments. This was taken with a Leica S8 APO microscope at about 10x. The camera is an Infinity x32 from Lumenera along with their software. The contrast between the black beetle and the whitish mites and the reflections off the beetle was high, so I shot in relatively low light and added some fill light in Lightroom.
To get the depth of field I used Helicon Focus and a z-stack of some 140 frames.
