Very interesting markings on this fly. Any ID for it? Can't say I've seen one like it before. Thanks.

Biting midge
I suspect this is Mallochohelea albibasis (Malloch 1915).

Closer shots would be helpful. (I know how small these are; I have yet to get a good set of shots of a biting midge showing all the diagnostic bits.)
