P. zelicaon? - Papilio zelicaon

P. zelicaon? - Papilio zelicaon
Alameda County, California, USA
June 23, 2009
Size: 3.25 in. (8 cm) (est.)
Feeding on buddleia, afternoon. I've never seen this swallowtail before. Normally the shrub attracts Western Tigers.

Moved
Moved from Anise Swallowtail.

Papilio zelicaon
Looks like battered and probably faded female. Even so, she's still quite lovely.
