I should add that the specimens should be preserved before shipping in ordinary drugstore brand rubbing alcohol, which is about 70% isopropanol. Whenever i travel, I simply buy a small bottle of this in a drug- or grocery store. Rowland Shelley

Would it be possible for you or someone to send me some of these millipeds with at least one mature, adult male? It occurs to me that they may be Pleuroloma flavipes Rafinesque, 1820, which was described from "woods near Catskill New York." No authentic specimen of P.f. from NY state exists and a Neotype needs to be designated from an adult male; the species may exhibit this color pattern in this part of the country.
