I planted the Tiger Lily for show... did not consider it as a nectar source so I was delighted to see this..... Tiger- Tiger (sweet)

I do not know what the Tiger Swallowtail 'got out of this' in terms of nectar but several of the flowers were visited, with much interest .... I got lots out of it :-)

i was too busy as a photographer to note whether the proboscis ever came out ... perhaps the color was the attraction and had to be thoroughly checked out .....
my series of photos do not show actual nectaring ..... some of the angles to them wouldn't however...
