Grasshopper in controlled burn area - Chortophaga australior

Grasshopper in controlled burn area - Chortophaga australior
Natural Area Training Lab at Univ Fl at Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, USA
June 20, 2009
This grasshopper has some strange looking markings vs. an injury on the right side near the pronotum -- which may be perfectly normal. I'll try to zoom in and lighten and wlll add the image.
