Grasshopper in controlled burn area - Chortophaga australior

This grasshopper has some strange looking markings vs. an injury on the right side near the pronotum -- which may be perfectly normal. I'll try to zoom in and lighten and wlll add the image.

Looks normal
It's a male of Chortophaga australior.

Moved from Grasshoppers.
