Beetle for ID - Hippodamia

Beetle for ID - Hippodamia

Hippodamia
I think Ron's on the right track, and probably the right species too. Let's move it to genus for now.

Seven-spotted ladybird beetle?
It seems to be missing the two white lines on top. More likely, it is
a Seven-spotted ladybird beetle, http://bugguide.net/node/view/273893

The Seven-spotted...
doesn't have the white border around the pronotum...

I would go with...
Convergent Lady Beetle (Hippodamia convergens).
