Band-winged meadowhawk - Sympetrum semicinctum

Band-winged meadowhawk - Sympetrum semicinctum
Sky Meadows State Park, Virginia, USA
June 27, 2009
I'm guessing this is the band-winged meadowhawk based on Dunkel description/photo. Unfortunately, it flew before I could get shot from overhead. Found in wet field near large pond in early morning. Appreciate ID.

We see the color in the back wing
which would lead us to agree with semicinctum, but are confused since we don't seem to see any color in the front wings??

S. semicinctum
I agree that it is S. semicinctum. Firstly, the amber wash on the forewings is lighter than in the hindwings. Secondly, depending on the angle at wich the dragonfly is holding it's wings, the amber wash on the forewings is often lost against the reddish-brown of the thorax.
