Orange County Bee Fly Archives - Bombylius fascialis or lancifer - Bombylius
RiIey Wilderness Park, Coto de Caza, Orange County, California, USA
June 25, 2009
Shot by my grandson Iszak Allan Hemberger, 10, the first time he used my D80 with 180mm macro and, unlike grandpa, no monopod.

If only we had all been able to start so early in life...
It's great that he's already taking such wonderful shots, Ron. I'm sure it helps to have a grandpa that has so much experience creating excellent bee fly images. Looking forward to seeing more from Iszak in the future...

He'll be around, likely for a year.
I'm sure there will be more posts from him. We'll be shooting today. I just pointed him to the fly and stood back. (More often than not, he's the one doing the pointing.)
