The caterpillar was rolled up inside of a couple of leaves, but the wasp seemed to know it was in there and kept attacking the leaves until it could get at the caterpillar.

The locust trees seem to be popular hunting ground for wasps, although this is the first time I have seen one actually have success

I applaud both the wasp's persistence, and yours. Your images keep getting better and the behavior you are documenting is wonderful.

I would have gotten better shots of this girl, but she saw I was watching and she flew up to the top of the tree with her prey, out of my sight =D
