Male with prey - Polistes fuscatus - male

Male with prey - Polistes fuscatus - Male
Perry County, Pennsylvania, USA
June 30, 2009
I have seen males masticating prey in my captive colonies, but this is the first time I have seen it in wild colonies.

This particular colony is very large, with around 20 or so females and 4 males during late June

Neat.
I sure hope you can get some of these findings published, VV. Great job.
