Leucrotricia

Your caddisfly appears to be Leucotrichia (Ring Horn Microcaddis). There are (3) N. American species, but I believe the only one present in Virginia is L. pictipes, so that's probably what it is.

 
Roger, can you check out the other images
in Hydroptilidae here and comment if any others are Leucrotricia? (or any other genus you know!) Thanks!

Based on my recent email correspondence with Dr. John Morse of Clemson University and Dr. Steve Harris of Clarion University, it appears I have made a mistaken assumption concerning antennal banding of Leucrotricia. So, I propose the three images currently associated with Leucotricia be elevated to family Hydroptilidae.

 
Microcaddis?
Cute! I have micromoths and now a microcaddis. =)

That doesn't appear to be in the Guide - am I missing it? I've put it in the Microcaddis section. Thank you!
