Perhaps
metallic greenish "Harpalus affinis" on first impression. I don't believe these field shots should be archived at BG as there are already better representatives of that species.

is the lone Maryland data-point so I respectfully disagree.

 
Lone MD Data point?
Yes, I was surprised to see that "Harplaus affinis" (if that is indeed your image) was not given MD status in the catalogue by Bousquet & Larochelle (1993). So from that standpoint your image is worth saving although it is likley that Bousquet already has recent MD records of H. affinis (widespread in northeast) for his forthcoming revision. Was that also your understanding when you said "lone Maryland data-point" or did you mean the only MD record of H. affinis within just BugGuide's own database?

meant within Bugguide but I'm curious to see what Bousquet will have to report on this.
