Alkali Bluet ? - Enallagma - Female
West Shoal Lakes, northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
July 1, 2009
Size: mid-size
I am fairly sure this is an Alkali Bluet but opinions are welcome! Did not capture to examine but other field markers seem to match up. Thanks.

Moved from ID Request.

You're very possibly correct - BUT.....
In his book (1) - Lam states that Enallagma boreale and E. annexum may have
segment 8 completely pale and need to be separated by the mesostigmal plates from Enallagma clausum.

In his book (2) - Paulson states that E. boreale ane E. annexum usually have
some black on segment 8.

Alkali Bluet
Tnanks for the feedback. This gal was larger than the other bluets around, unfortunately I never saw a male counterpart.
