micro... Four-spotted yellowneck? - Oegoconia quadripuncta
Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California, USA

Size: 6-7mm
After browsing all the micro plates at MPG and Powell and Opler's book, the closest match I could find was Oegoconia quadripuncta (=novimundi), Hodges #1134. Powell and Opler also add that it is distinctive to the western nearctic fauna, so I figure that must be what it is... can anybody confirm/correct?

1134 - Oegoconia novimundi
"Distinctive in...." is a bit different from "distinctive to....". In the west of North America it is distinctive as the only moth of that size and marking. It is also widespread in the east. Glad to see that you got the book. It will be a great help to you.
