Wolf Spider - Allocosa funerea - male

Wolf Spider - Allocosa funerea - Male
Springfield, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
July 1, 2009
Size: 4.5mm
The shiny black head of this wolf spider really got my attention because I had never seen it before. I see a lot of wolf spiders on the ground in the garden but this one stood out. I hope I see more of them around.
