Caterpillar w/shiny thoracic shield - dorsal view

Size: 12 mm, 1/2 inch
Found in leaf shelter on young holly leaves (Ilex sp.) Shiny black thoracic shield on T1, along w/ shiny black head, distinctive. I'm sure I've seen it in a field guide somewhere but don't have my books here.

I apologize for how dark the image is, no Photoshop on this computer to fix it with.
