Orange-abdomened fly - Peleteria

Orange-abdomened fly - Peleteria
Sandoval County, New Mexico, USA
July 5, 2009
Size: 1.3 cm?
Another fly from Cerro Grande (10,000 ft, 3,000 m). As you'll see in one of the pictures, this was a much friendlier fly, as I picked it up and it stayed on my hand. The background in this picture is a fellow hiker's jacket.
