Grey or Gray Cross Spider - Larinioides sclopetarius - female

Grey or Gray Cross Spider - Larinioides sclopetarius - Female
Lake Tapps, Pierce County, Washington, USA
July 4, 2009
We stopped and visited with some people that live right on Lake Tapps. They had quite a population of gray cross spider's in their yard, mostly under eaves of buildings. I was surprised to see full grown adult females and males, since my own population of A. diadematus is still quite young. Also, now that I think about it every place I've found this is right next to a pond or a lake.
