Leafhopper - Jikradia melanota

Leafhopper - Jikradia melanota
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
July 4, 2009
This is a new leafhopper for me. I have not been successful finding in any of my leafhopper references. I found a smilax vine covered with nymphs, exuvia and adults. See nymph

Moved
Moved from Jikradia floridana.

Moved

Coelidia olitoria ssp. floridana
Were all the nymphs the same color?

Yes
All nymphs were the same color and all the adults were the same color. There were an average of two adults on a branch. I counted 20 adults from just one location.
