Thanks. I noticed that all of the other Synemosyna in the guide have a darker abdomen than their prosoma, while this one is the exact opposite. Could this just be a regional variation or something else?

She's also the plumpest, so that probably accounts for the lighter color.

Think of it like a balloon; as the abdomen expands before egg-laying it will stretch and become thinner, more translucent than usual. Most spiders have scales that would cover this up.
