Size: 30 mm?
Nice, bright blue markings on abdomen. Moth was very lethargic and on the ground-on its last legs?

Leopard Moth
About late summer 2007 I found a dead Leopard moth on the ground at the base of a tall pine tree at the Hawn State park in Missouri. I have it in a plastic box for viewing. The wings are closed but is could see the saphire blue abdomen under the wing.
