Size: ~18mm
Researching on the guide, I narrowed this down to Laphria fernaldi and L. engelhardti. According to this site: http://users.usachoice.net/~swb/laphriini/laphria-w.htm#engelhardti, L. fernaldi has the orange or red only on tergites 4&5 which appears to be the case on this one.
Very effective bee mimic, since many bumblebees in this area have the orange stripe as well.
