Graceful Sedge Grasshopper?
This is a very unusual 'hopper. It is a male, it would appear, with an enormous stridulatory field on its front wings. So, we can eliminate the Melonoplinae:-) The red line on the ventral edge of the hind tibia is distinctive as well. Habitat is key, too: Tom, if this was found in a wet area with thick grass and sedges, then it probably is this species. Placing on guide page or creating one.

Habitat
There is a stream nearby, and a lot of marshy area along the roadside that the moose frequent. It's on a rasberry/balckberry leave, but there are plenty of grasses around.
