I tend to
agree with Ron. It looks like Eupeodes to me.

Right tribe (Syrphini), but I think genus is a bit off.
It doesn't look like the long body Sphaerophoria to me. Instead, I'm guessing Syrphus, but am having a bit of trouble making out the area obscured by the right wing. (If the abdomen has a black margin at the bottom of the markings, it's Eupeodes instead.)
