Finally got a cooperative pair of tiny syrphids. Estimate size to be less than 1cm, but can't be sure.

They are in the genus Toxomerus, and the species is T. marginatus!

If I am not mistaken, the female seems to already be gravid. I wonder if syrphids develop their eggs prior to mating, or if they just mate all the time?
