my moth hunting partner saw this Luna eclose from a cocoon in florida, however it has some significant color variation and marking from the Lunas we're familiar with in tennessee. wondering if this is a cross-breed, or simply a product of geographic variation.

it is just a luna in places where they have more than one brood a year there is a difference in color from the first brood.
