Size: ~5mm total length.
Caught these two in flagrante delicto on a yarrow in our garden. (live oak/chaparral habitat).

Your ID's good. Nice photo, too.
I didn't realize those with different colored abdomens can be the same species. I've seen (and posted) only one mating pair, and the size difference was more dramatic than yours.
