Beetle - Calochromus perfacetus

Beetle - Calochromus perfacetus
Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
June 7, 2009
Size: ?
I thought it was a net-winged beetle (Lycid), but it was different... Please help with ID.

Moved
Moved from Plateros.

I thought...
it's different... The anterior margin of this guy seems straight while that of Plateros is round or roundedly triangular, and its posterior margin is also straight while that of Plateros curved. Is it due to the viwing angle?

It is different.
Pronotum lacking medial longitudinal carina and having instead a linear impression, antennomere 2 longer than wide and elytra non-reticulated, and eastern locality - it's Calochromus perfacetus.

thanks for setting me straight...
...and especially for the nice addition to the guide!

Thank you both!
^^
