It was an old myth that they would crawl in peoples ears. This is completely unfounded, but that was the myth. They're really cute aren't they?

 
earwig name comes from....
"The name earwig is derived from the grossly incorrect old world European belief that these insects seek to enter the ears, or even brains, of human beings." Here's an earwig article with more info.

Funny!.. :) I don't think I've been in a tie like this before.

Sometimes I'll have the request opening while searching for a picture to post in, and somebody answers while I'm doing this, which makes it look like I'm saying the same thing five minutes later, but this hasn't happened, pressed post simultaneously, on the same thought even.
