If you can supply a square photo I'd like to have it for MPG.

Pyralis Cacima?
By any chance is this the same as Pyralis Cacima, which I see in the CA Moth Specimens database but we don't seem to list here? They don't list Aglossa Cacima.

The species name is cacamica
I was surprised to see that the California Database and the new book, Moths of Western North America, continue to show the old genus name Pyralis for this species. The current accepted genus name is Aglossa. I am not aware of any publication that would supercede the one for Pyralini of the Western Hemisphere presented in J. Lepid. Soc. 53(1), 1999, 1-10.

Only two species remain in Pyralis (farinalis and manihotalis). Other species formerly in that genus are now placed in Aglossa.

Thanks. Wasn't an especially
Thanks. Wasn't an especially "square" moth, but I've sent you a photo with a little more background in it. :-)
