Fall Webworm - Hyphantria cunea

Fall Webworm - Hyphantria cunea
Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
September 1, 2005

From those long hairs
we would think fall webworm, Hyphantria cunea Wagner pg 466. See what you think.

Variable
It's a different color than the picture in the book, but the description says it's variable in color, and the warts can be orange or red. So it sounds like it's the fall webworm, especially with those long hairs. Thanks, I couldn't come up with it myself.
