His comment: "...described, if I remember correctly, from 'Illinois'; ... one of the easier to determine species because the three articles of the antennal club are fused into one, and its color pattern is distinctive. Biological data are dismal and do not involve fungi. My specimens were taken by beating dead branches, or by sweeping, and I have seen others which have been reared from dead stems, seeds, and galls."
