Is this an orchard weaver? I have several spiders in front and backyards at the moment that fit the pattern, while at the same time look quite different. Is there a large variation in patterning ?

The webs in your photo look a bit haphazard, but they're actually capable of some pretty amazing geometry, creating a very neat dome shaped web.
