The largest crane fly in North America. Please correct me if I got this ID wrong.

Hi Lynette,
Yes the identification is correct. Genus Holorusia has some of the largest crane fly in the world, among them the largest is Holorusia rex in the Oriental region. Holorusia hespera is the largest crane fly in North America, especially in the west. You may very well remember the largest one in the east is Tipula abdominalis. - Chen
