American roach female.
In Periplaneta americana, BOTH genders have fully-functional wings, so that is not diagnostic (even for the genus). I would say this is a female. Males are much more streamlined, but you have to have seen a lot of them to be able to see that:-)

I'm trying to figure out what
I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. Are they usually found here or do you think it came in a shipment or on the train that goes to the plant my hubby works at.

Brown cockroach?
This looks more like the brown cockroach, Periplaneta brunnea, to me (Check out the cerci). However, I would be surprised to see it that far north...
